Recruitment & Enrollment Coordinator
Rochester Academy of Science Charter School
12-Month Position | Salary: $45,000-$55,000

Position Overview
The Recruitment & Enrollment Coordinator is a key member of the school's operations and outreach team. This role leads student recruitment, manages community engagement, and oversees the full enrollment cycle. The ideal candidate is outgoing, tech-savvy, skilled in communication and social media, and confident representing the school in both online and in-person settings.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment, Outreach & Community Engagement

  • Serve as the school's primary ambassador at community events and partner locations.

  • Build relationships with daycares, early childhood centers, community groups, and local businesses.

  • Lead school tours, open houses, and info sessions.

  • Identify new outreach opportunities to support enrollment goals.

  • Travel to events and outreach sites as needed.

Social Media, Communications & Branding

  • Manage and grow the school's social media presence with engaging content.

  • Communicate promptly and professionally across phone, email, and social platforms.

  • Support communication campaigns for enrollment deadlines and school events.

  • Ensure all messaging reflects the school's mission and brand.

Enrollment Coordination (Avela Enrollment Software)

  • Manage applications, lotteries, waitlists, and registration.

  • Use Avela or similar platforms to maintain accurate enrollment data.

  • Collect required documents and ensure compliance with state and charter regulations.

  • Keep detailed, up-to-date records and communicate next steps clearly to families.

Family Engagement & Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective families.

  • Guide families through the application and onboarding process.

  • Collaborate with leadership and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition for new students.

Data, Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare enrollment and waitlist reports weekly/monthly.

  • Track recruitment data and identify trends for planning.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including residency, immunizations, and required records.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 1-2 years in recruitment, enrollment, customer service, outreach, or school operations (charter experience preferred).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong social media and content-creation skills.

  • Tech-savvy; Avela experience strongly preferred.

  • Reliable transportation; ability to work some evenings/weekends.
