Role Summary

The ENT Registrar will support the ENT Consultant in providing clinical care to patients in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings. The role is suitable for both fresh graduates and candidates with up to 1–2 years of experience who want to build a strong foundation in ENT clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities1. Clinical Duties

  • Assist ENT Consultant in OPD evaluations, diagnostics, and treatment.
  • Conduct initial patient assessments and clinical examinations.
  • Manage ENT-related cases under supervision (ear infections, sinusitis, throat complaints, vertigo, etc.).
  • Perform basic ENT procedures after training and as per competency level.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
  • Document patient history, findings, and daily progress notes accurately.

2. Emergency Care

  • Attend ENT emergencies (epistaxis, foreign body removal, acute infections, airway concerns) under supervision.
  • Coordinate with emergency and ICU teams as needed.

3. Inpatient Care

  • Conduct daily rounds for ENT in-patients.
  • Assist in treatment planning, medication ordering, and follow-up.
  • Provide updates to senior consultants and nursing staff.

4. Coordination & Patient Care

  • Work closely with nursing teams, diagnostic departments, and other specialties.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • MBBS or MS ENT / DLO from a recognized institution.
  • Freshers and recently passed graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Valid medical registration (State Medical Council/MCI/NMC).

Skills Required

  • Strong interest in ENT clinical practice.
  • Good clinical judgment and willingness to learn.
  • Communication skills and patient-friendly approach.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic knowledge of ENT procedures (training will be provided).

Shift & Work Requirements

  • Rotational duties including OPD, ward rounds, and emergency shifts.
  • Availability for immediate joining is highly preferred.
