Enterprise Agile Coach (SAFe / RTE / Scrum)

Our Client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Agile Coach to drive Agile maturity across IT and business functions. This individual will coach employees and consulting partners on Agile methodology, lead SAFe adoption efforts, and deliver certification-level training programs to enable sustainable Agile transformation at scale.

The Agile Coach will serve as a hands-on transformation leader, partnering with leadership, Product, IT, and Operations teams to embed Agile principles, improve delivery predictability, and enhance cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Agile Coaching

• Lead enterprise-wide Agile transformation initiatives

• Coach leadership, ARTs (Agile Release Trains), Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and delivery teams

• Drive adoption of SAFe frameworks and Lean-Agile best practices

• Identify and remove organizational impediments impacting Agile delivery

• Establish Agile metrics and continuous improvement practices

Training & Certification Enablement

Deliver formal Agile training sessions and certification prep for:

• SAFe Agilist (Leading SAFe)

• SAFe Scrum Master

• SAFe RTE (Release Train Engineer)

• SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager

• Advanced Scrum Master

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent

• Lean Portfolio Management (preferred)

Conduct workshops, bootcamps, and ongoing coaching sessions to ensure certification readiness and practical implementation.

Leadership & Change Management

• Partner with executive leadership to align Agile practices with strategic goals

• Develop Agile playbooks, governance models, and delivery standards

• Mentor internal Agile champions for long-term sustainability

• Drive mindset shift from project-based to product-based delivery

Required Qualifications

• 8 10+ years experience in Agile delivery environments

• 3 5+ years as Enterprise Agile Coach or SAFe transformation lead

• Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) strongly preferred

• Certified Release Train Engineer (RTE)

• Scrum Alliance or equivalent certification (CSM / CSP / CSPO)

• Demonstrated experience training and certifying teams in SAFe and Scrum

• Experience supporting both employees and third-party consultants in scaled environments

• Strong executive presence and facilitation skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience within manufacturing, hardware, or hybrid IT environments

• ERP or enterprise system implementation exposure (SAP preferred)

• Experience in hybrid Waterfall Agile transformation

• Knowledge of DevOps and Agile tooling (Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, etc.)
