Role Overview

The Enterprise Applications Engineer at Cboe will be an integral part of the Enterprise Infrastructure Services team, providing world class service to our internal clients, effectively leading and managing projects, executing ongoing programs, guiding other engineers, and teaching Cboe associates new ways of working with the applications we govern.

You will be working with a team of technologists that provide support to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 application suite and the Atlassian collaboration toolset: Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket as well as other applications provided to the corporation.

You will help design and support the entire application stack and its configuration whether deployed to a Cloud SaaS solution, a Linux OS, or a virtual appliance. You will be responsible for providing guidance to business partners as they work to adopt best practices, automate solutions and provide processes, statistics, and documentation for their own work tasks.

You will have the opportunity to explore and utilize a myriad of technology products and programming tools to support our environment consisting of off-the-shelf products and custom-built applications and will be expected to stay current with the direction of the technology and to share your learnings with the team and the wider Cboe staff.

Your responsibilities will be:

Developing and Administrating

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE
  • Atlassian Cloud Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Opsgenie
  • RHEL deployments of Haproxy, Jenkins, and Atlassian Bitbucket Data Center
  • GitHub Cloud
  • JFrog Artifactory Cloud/Edge
  • Backups and Monitoring of internal and external applications

The ideal candidate has

Compassion for customer needs, solving problems, and translating business requests into requirements and actions An ability to self-govern daily work assignments, align them with fluctuations in company direction, identify training opportunities, and to lead other engineers to improve their own skillsets A desire to stay on the leading edge of Technology and guide Cboe to prudent decisions in application usage A proven track record of successful production application system deployment and administration and an ability to validate and explain reasons behind development decisions A strong commitment to comprehend complex regulatory and compliance rules and an ability to apply this knowledge to confirm adherence within application configurations 2+ years of experience working with Cloud solutions

Mastery of a wide variety of Application configurations including

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE
  • Power Apps and Power Automate

Significant Experience with programming languages and syntax like

  • PowerShell and Power FX
  • JSON and XML
  • Python and Groovy

Working knowledge and familiarity with development tools and products

  • SharePoint, Active Directory/LDAP, Vi, SSH, OpenSSL
  • General RESTful API practices and specific system APIs
  • Git, Docker, PostgreSQL, Salt
  • JFrog Artifactory
  • Device42

Our pay ranges are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, role, experience, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $97,750-$120,750. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay the company expects to offer for new hires working in the position full time. If you live in one of the following areas or if you work in a Cboe office in the following areas, the range may be higher according to the geographic differentials listed below:


US Geographic Differentials:

  • 110%: Austin TX, Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA

  • 115%: Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA

  • 120%: Boston MA, Washington DC

  • 125%: New York City NY

  • 130%: San Francisco CA


Within the range, individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, our total rewards program includes an annual variable pay program and benefits including healthcare (medical, dental and vision), 401 (k) with a generous company match, life and disability insurance, paid time off, market-leading tuition assistance, and much more!
