Enterprise Database Analyst

Summary

As an Enterprise Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of our systems, working closely with various stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our IT solutions align with business goals and improve operational efficiency. You will engage in analyzing system performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance user experience. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members will be vital as you create documentation, design specifications, and system flows. Additionally, you will conduct thorough testing and provide ongoing support to ensure that systems continue to meet user needs effectively. An ideal candidate would possess a strong analytical mindset and be passionate about leveraging technology to drive business success.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current state of enterprise systems and identify areas for improvement
  • Review, analyze, evaluate ideas, projects, and opportunities to improve business processes and meet business development goals
  • Research and monitor technology trends and methodologies to simplify and to deliver faster information systems and integration services wins
  • Provide overall direction, guidance, and definition of business architecture to effectively align with business strategy
  • Develop functional specifications and project documentation
  • Design and execute test plans to ensure system functionality
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Provide ongoing support and training for end users
  • Facilitate communication between IT and business units to ensure alignment
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define system requirements
  • Lead projects from inception to completion, including authorization, planning, execution, testing, monitoring, and closing, manage project timelines and manage project risks ensuring the solution aligns with both technical and business objectives.
  • Design and implement an IT framework that aligns with business needs.
  • Function as a liaison to Business users to gain a broad understanding of industry trends and innovations, and their impact on technology.
  • Develop and maintain reference architecture for the systems this position is responsible for.
  • Create business architecture models demonstrating how products, operations and systems interoperate within the organization
  • Document and diagram current and future state integration processes across business applications
  • Inventory and maintain a Systems / Integration repository across segments to promote reusability
  • Expand integration monitoring and alert capability

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the National Indian Gaming Commission: Minimum Internal Controls Standards for IT
  • Must be able to provide courteous and professional customer service to customers and fellow IT team members

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in system design and modeling tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with database management and reporting tools
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in a computer related field or relevant work experience is required. Minimum of three to five years’ experience in complex system operations in a business environment preferred.

Must possess strong analytical and strategic thinking, as well as planning/organizing and problem-solving skills. High degree of technical expertise, sound professional and technical judgment, and a commitment to exceptional customer service and teamwork.

Language Skills

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as people skills, both in user support and project coordination. Follow the proper protocol to escalate issues to upper management. Require strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, work in a team environment, follow written policies and procedures, and always maintain superior customer service with all users.

Reasoning Ability

Must exercise a reasonable amount of independent judgment under a minimum of supervision. Personal and professional attributes must include high ethical and professional standards, honesty, integrity, self-motivation, adaptability, and dependability.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Valid California Driver’s License. Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.

Working Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet, cold, hot, and/or humid conditions, fumes or tobacco smoke, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Position requires frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; ability to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, crouch or crawl; ability to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance. Position requires ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
