Enterprise Integrations Developer

Job Summary:

Enterprise Integration Developer requires strong experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and real-time integrations using ACE across heterogeneous data sources including relational databases, cloud storage, MQ, and flat files. Proficiency in ESQL and Java, along with cloud experience (preferably AWS), is essential. The developer will be responsible for delivering robust, scalable, and performant integration solutions to meet business and technical requirements.

Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain integration flows using ACE for real-time and batch data processing.
• Build and expose RESTful APIs for consumption by internal and external systems.
• Integrate with multiple data sources including RDBMS, AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, RDS), MQ, and flat files.
• Implement message transformations, routing, and data enrichment using ESQL, Java, and Mapping nodes.
• Implement structured error handling, logging, and exception propagation strategies using best practices.
• Implement unit, integration, and system-level testing for services and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and data quality policies across all integration points.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of integration solutions in production environments.
• Contribute to integration architecture standards and best practices documentation.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in middleware development using IBM IIB/ACE.
• Strong programming skills in ESQL and Java
• Experience creating and consuming REST APIs with JSON and XML payloads.
• Experience with IBM MQ, HTTP nodes, File nodes, and Database nodes.
• Advanced SQL skills with exposure to performance tuning and database design principles.
• Cloud integration experience (preferably AWS: Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS).
• Strong understanding of integration concepts such as SOA, REST, SOAP, APIs, and asynchronous messaging..
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools is a plus.
• Experience with hybrid or cloud-native integrations using IBM Cloud Pak for Integration or AWS/Azure.
