Job Description


We’re looking for a bold, creative Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) who lives and breathes entertainment, pop culture, and community storytelling. This role is perfect for a charismatic on-air personality who is comfortable owning their voice, building relationships, and bringing fresh, engaging storytelling to life.

You’ll be front and center hosting, reporting, producing, and creating content that informs and entertains, while representing the Acceso Total brand with confidence, authenticity, and energy.

Responsibilities:

  • Host and report lifestyle, entertainment, and community stories for Acceso Total.
  • Pitch original, buzz-worthy story ideas that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Conduct dynamic interviews with artists, performers, influencers, and community leaders.
  • Shoot, write, and edit your own video packages for broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Deliver compelling live and taped segments with personality and polish.
  • Build strong relationships with venues, PR partners, talent, and community organizations.
  • Collaborate closely with producers, editors, and newsroom teams.
  • Represent the show across platforms with professionalism and creativity.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an MMJ, entertainment reporter, or lifestyle host.
  • Strong on-camera presence and confident live-reporting skills.
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, and conversational interviewing abilities.
  • Passion for entertainment, arts, culture, and community events.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and events.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Fort Myers area.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and eager to bring new ideas to the table.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCUniversal’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience hosting or producing entertainment-focused segments.
  • A strong social media presence or experience creating digital-first content.
  • The ability to connect naturally with audiences and guests on and off camera.
