Area(s) of Responsibility
Key Activities

Technical Oversight:

  • Manage and oversee all technical aspects of entertainment productions, including live shows, parades, and themed marque events and sales events.
  • Ensure that audio, video, lighting, special effects, and other technical systems meet high standards of quality and safety

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise a team of technical specialists, including technicians, engineers, and stage technicians .
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to foster a collaborative and high-performing team.

Show Production:

  • Collaborate with creative teams, directors, and designers to execute technical elements of live shows and events.
  • Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment during shows and events.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Develop and enforce safety protocols to protect the well-being of both guests and staff.
  • Ensure that all technical operations comply with company, industry and regulatory standards.

Resource Management:

  • Manage budgets in the absence of Entertainment Senior Technical Manager, equipment inventory, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and upgrades as needed.

Innovation and Integration:
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the entertainment industry.
  • Integrate new technologies and techniques to enhance the guest experience and maintain the park's competitive edge.

Guest Experience Enhancement:
  • Focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring that technical elements contribute to the overall theme and storytelling of the park.

Cultural Sensitivity:
  • The awareness and respect for cultural differences and diversity. Being culturally sensitive is crucial for working in diverse environments and building inclusive teams.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Education and Qualifications
Essential:
  • Related Technical Qualifications (e.g., Theater Production, Electrical Engineering or similar) or equivalent experience.
Desirable:
  • Electronics or Electrical Certificate.
  • Engineering or college diploma

Years of Experience
Essential:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in live shows and events
  • 2+ years’ Experience in installation of AVL systems including show control and network.
  • Minimum 4 years worked in live shows and events in a technical role.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in working within the amusement park industry is an advantage.
  • 2+ years’ Experience in the installation of AVL systems including show control and network.
  • Theater experience is an advantage.

Knowledge, Languages and Skills
Essential:
  • The knowledge of operating Entertainment shows systems and show control systems are a must.
  • Have an interest in technology. Familiar with latest technologies and implementation. ·
  • Proven ability in troubleshooting .
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Able to adhere to strict timelines.
  • Clear understanding of both written and spoken English.
  • Computer skills.
  • Ability to understand one-line drawings and schematics.
  • Able to spend long hours standing if required.
  • Possess a firm knowledge of installation tools and have the ability to use them.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 kg.
  • Ability to manage a large team of 30.
Desirable:
  • Operated audio and lighting systems for live entertainment.
  • Component repairs of audio, lighting, and video equipment.
  • People who work well alone and as part of a larger team.
  • Self-motivated and want to get the job done.
  • Knowledge of show, automation, and digital signal processing is an advantage.
  • Has system integration and design knowledge.
