Entomologist (Must have Department of Plant License)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and licensed Entomologist to join our team. The candidate must hold a valid Department of Plant Protection (DPP) License and will be responsible for managing and supervising pest control and fumigation operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing expert knowledge in the identification, prevention, and control of pests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pest identification, monitoring, and analysis for effective treatment solutions.
• Supervise fumigation and pest control operations in compliance with Department of Plant Protection regulations.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to fumigation certificates, reports, and audits.
• Provide technical guidance to field staff on safe and effective application of pesticides and fumigants.
• Ensure proper use and calibration of equipment used in pest control and fumigation.
• Develop Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies to reduce pesticide use while ensuring efficacy.
• Stay updated with pest control techniques, treatment methods, and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients, and stakeholders for inspections, audits, and certifications.
• Train and evaluate team members on pest biology, control measures, and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Entomology, Agriculture, or related field.
• Valid Department of Plant Protection (DPP) License – Mandatory.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fumigation and pest control operations.
• Strong knowledge of pest biology, fumigation gases, pesticides, and safety regulations.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in quarantine fumigation and export/import treatment requirements.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, safety protocols, and compliance audits.
• Ability to train and lead operational teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
