About the Job:

Gurley Leep Automotive Family is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented person to join our team as a Used Car Buyer at our TEAM dealerships located in Northwest Indiana (Merrillville, Schererville, and Valparaiso). If you’ve worked at a car dealership before and love being around cars, this could be the perfect next step for you. You don’t need to have buying experience but must have at least 2 years of experience working in sales at an automotive dealership. We’ll train the right person! This is an entry level position with the potential to earn up to $80,000 a year with performance bonuses. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. What You’ll Be Doing

• Find and purchase used cars from a variety of sources (auctions, private sellers, trade-ins, etc.)
• Evaluate vehicles based on condition, mileage, and market value
• Work closely with our team to keep the right cars in stock
• Keep up with pricing trends and make smart buying decisions
• Handle vehicle data and reports using Excel and other software

What We’re Looking For

• Comfortable using Excel and basic technology —previous experience with vAuto and DealerTrack is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Positive attitude, dependable, and eager to learn
