Position Overview
HealthisFreedom is looking for a detail-oriented entry-level bookkeeper to manage daily financial transactions and provide friendly, responsive customer support. This position is ideal for someone looking to build experience in both bookkeeping and customer service within a mission-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions using our bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar).
- Process accounts payable and receivable, issue invoices, and track payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records of financial activity.
- Assist with preparing financial reports for management and compiling supporting documentation as needed.
- Help monitor and resolve discrepancies in accounts or transaction data.
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, or chat in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Assist with routine administrative and clerical duties, including data entry and filing.
- Support customer billing questions, account updates, and resolve basic issues or escalate as required.
- Contribute to process improvements and support other team needs as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or relevant coursework in accounting, finance, or business a plus.
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping principles and general office procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) and comfortable learning new software.
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage time effectively.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, retail, or customer service is a plus but not required.
