Duties

• Assist residents and patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by taking vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration
• Support medication administration under supervision in accordance with HIPAA regulations and care plans
• Provide compassionate Alzheimer’s and dementia care, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for memory care residents
• Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining proper nutrition for individuals with special dietary needs
• Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic living environment in compliance with health standards
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts to assist with mobility and prevent injury during transfers
• Observe and document changes in residents’ conditions, reporting any concerns to nursing staff or supervisors promptly
• Support hospice care efforts by providing comfort measures and emotional support to patients and their families
• Engage in social work activities by fostering positive interactions and encouraging social participation among residents

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
• Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is expected
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or Alzheimer’s/dementia is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper techniques; physical stamina is essential for this role
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
• Strong communication skills combined with compassionate caregiving attitude
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation may be required for home & community care roles

Pay: $33.73 - $44.57 per hour
