Description:

blueRock Technologies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level IT Support Technician to join our growing Service Desk Team. This role is the perfect next step for recent graduates or those with foundational IT experience who are ready to take on real-world responsibilities in a professional environment. You will work alongside our experienced technicians, providing end-user support while continuing to develop your technical skills and knowledge.

Job Responsibilities:

• Respond to IT service desk tickets, calls, and walk-ups, providing first-tier support for hardware, software, and network issues
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving common technical problems, escalating to Tier I or Tier II technicians when necessary
• Support the installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of PCs, peripherals, VoIP phones, and network printers
• Assist with software installation, configuration, and support for business applications including Office 365 and Microsoft Teams
• Help manage user accounts, password resets, and basic Office 365 administration tasks under the guidance of senior team members
• Create and maintain accurate service tickets in the ticketing system, documenting steps taken and resolutions
• Contribute to knowledge base articles and technical documentation for common issues and solutions
• Follow up with end users on open tickets to ensure timely resolution and a positive support experience
• Adhere to security policies, data privacy standards, and established escalation procedures
• Observe and participate in time tracking and reporting practices

Requirements:

• Associate's degree or currently completing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — OR equivalent hands-on experience (internship, volunteer work, personal projects)
• Up to 1 year of experience in a help desk, service desk, or IT support role (internship experience counts)
• Basic proficiency with Windows and/or macOS operating systems
• Foundational understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi)
• Familiarity with Office 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service oriented mindset
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and work effectively in a team
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a professional IT environment

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with IT ticketing systems
• Exposure to remote support tools
• Basic understanding of MFA and cybersecurity best practices
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory or Microsoft Intune
• Interest in scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell)
