Position: Legal Assistant (Entry Level)
Location: Downtown Dallas
Starts: As soon as possible

Salary: $38,000 + Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, and Paid Parking
Our downtown Dallas law firm is looking for a detail-oriented and organized entry-level Legal Assistant to join our litigation team. This role is essential for maintaining effective communication with clients, supporting case development, and assisting our attorneys during deposition preparation. The Legal Assistant will serve clients by communicating effectively. The ideal candidate should possess strong computer skills to fill out forms and provide updates to clients. They will work daily with attorneys and paralegals to ensure clear communication with potential and current clients, as well as to request and collect documents and information needed to assess case viability. We seek a professional with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and strong communication abilities to become part of our team.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
· Be available to work full-time from the office Monday through Friday.
· Be a positive team player.
· Provide superior customer service to all clients by answering incoming calls and completing intake forms as needed.
· Learn to navigate and operate the firm’s case management system(s) to assist with file maintenance and updates.
· Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and answer general questions.
· Gather information and documents from clients.
· Assist clients with completing Plaintiff Fact Sheets and gathering necessary supporting documentation.
· Review completed Plaintiff Fact Sheets with clients prior to deposition prep.
· Coordinate and schedule deposition preparation meetings with attorneys and clients.
· Maintain organized case files and monitor upcoming deadlines.
· Support attorneys by tracking client communications and follow-ups.
· Assist with organizing plaintiff documents for discovery or depositions.
· Work with Office Manager and Paralegals on work overflow, as needed.
Qualifications:
· Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Client Liaison in a law firm setting is preferred.
· Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish is a plus.
· Capable of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
· Persuasive in communication.
· A minimum of a high school diploma is required.
· Proficient with a multi-line telephone system.
· Must be skilled in typing.
· Able to quickly learn new programs and case management systems.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard legal office technology.
· Candidates should be able to type at least 50 words per minute.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong organizational and time management abilities.
· Maintains a professional appearance.
· Demonstrates a professional, patient, and empathetic client service approach.
· Possesses a strong work ethic and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Exhibits exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
· Capable of managing multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
· Familiarity with litigation, depositions, or plaintiff fact sheets is a plus.
