Entry Level Paralegal

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Entry Level Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience across various legal practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, and more. The ideal candidate will support attorneys with case management, legal research, document review, and administrative tasks within a professional law office environment. This position is perfect for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their legal careers and develop a broad understanding of the legal field.

Duties

  • Assist with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools to support ongoing cases and projects.
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Manage case files and document management systems including Filevine and other electronic filing platforms.
  • Conduct document review and organize evidence for litigation or transactional matters.
  • Support attorneys with project management tasks related to estate planning, securities law, patent law, tribal law & regulations, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, and other practice areas.
  • Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems for case files and legal documents.
  • Draft legal memos, summaries, and reports; proofread documents for clarity and correctness.
  • Assist with administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling phone inquiries with professional etiquette.
  • Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses as needed to gather relevant information for cases.

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Excellent research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, PCLaw, and other legal research tools.
  • Proficiency in legal case management software and document management systems such as iManage.
  • Effective writing skills for drafting memos, reports, and correspondence.
  • Attention to detail in proofreading and document review processes.
  • Familiarity with various areas of law including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, patent law, tribal law & regulations, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law.
  • Experience with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and clerical support within a law office setting.
  • Strong communication skills including phone etiquette and professional interaction with clients and team members.
  • Ability to perform legal research efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards. This entry-level position provides valuable exposure to diverse legal practices while supporting the daily operations of a busy law office. Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for learning the legal process and possess strong organizational abilities to succeed in this role.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 45.0 per week
