Position Overview

We are seeking an Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join our accounting team and support the financial operations that help drive our mechanical contracting business. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is eager to apply their accounting knowledge in a dynamic, real-world setting. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals in a company that values precision, accountability, and long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting functions including accounts payable, subcontracts and cashflow planning.
• Prepare and post journal entries and perform general ledger reconciliations
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Help maintain project accounting records and job cost tracking
• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Collaborate with project managers and departments to ensure financial accuracy across job sites
• Assist with audits and other financial reporting requirements
• Support ad hoc accounting projects and continuous process improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or expected completion within 6 months)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and OLAP tools ; experience with accounting software is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
• Internship experience or construction industry experience is a plus
