Staff Accountant (2–3 Years Experience)

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant with 2–3 years of accounting experience to support daily financial operations, reporting, and month-end close activities. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and being part of a supportive and collaborative accounting team.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and revenue

• Assist with monthly and year-end close processes

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts

• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts

• Reconcile vendor statements and assist with accounts payable

• Prepare sales and expense reports for management

• Support pricing, margin, and cost analysis

• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules

• Process payroll and sales commission

• Help ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting

• Work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and purchasing

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in wholesale, distribution, or retail

• Understanding of inventory accounting and cost of goods sold

• Experience with accounting or ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with high-volume transactions

• Knowledge of inventory costing methods such as FIFO or weighted average

Compensation

$25.00 – $28.00 per hour
