Your Role:
As an Entry-Level Structural Engineer at Tetra Tech, you’ll join a collaborative team to learn the fundamentals of structural analysis, design, and project delivery. You will support senior engineers on a variety of projects—from conceptual design through construction—gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, codes, and best practices.
Assist in the development of structural calculations, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Perform basic structural analyses using software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or SAP2000.
Help prepare design deliverables that comply with building codes and client requirements.
Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and interdisciplinary project discussions.
Contribute to quality control by checking drawings, calculations, and documentation for accuracy.
Support site visits and construction-phase services, observing construction progress and helping resolve technical issues.
Stay current on industry codes, standards, and emerging technologies.
Collaborate closely with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (new graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply).
EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification or preparation to sit for the FE exam.
Familiarity with structural analysis and design fundamentals.
Exposure to one or more of the following software packages: STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, or similar.
Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction from senior staff.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Willingness to complete a pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations.
