Overview

National Business Benefit Alliance (NBBA) is a nationwide membership-based organization dedicated to empowering small businesses by providing essential resources, consulting, discounted services, and business development tools. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Web Developer with strong experience in SEO, digital marketing, and client communication.

This position plays a key role in supporting BBA member businesses by creating modern, high-performing websites and optimizing their online presence for maximum visibility and growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesWeb Development & Design

• Build responsive, user-friendly websites for small business clients using WordPress (primary), along with other platforms as needed.
• Customize themes, layouts, and page designs to meet client branding and functional needs.
• Implement on-page SEO best practices during the development process.
• Maintain, update, and improve existing client websites.

SEO & Digital Marketing Support

• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and SEO audits for client websites.
• Optimize site structure, speed, metadata, internal links, and content for improved rankings.
• Coordinate with BBA’s marketing and content teams to implement SEO-driven strategies.
• Track and report on website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, or similar platforms.

Client Communication & Project Coordination

• Communicate directly with BBA clients to understand their business needs, goals, and vision for their website.
• Translate client objectives into clear development plans and deliverables.
• Provide professional recommendations on web design, SEO improvements, and marketing strategy.
• Manage project timelines, client updates, and revisions to ensure timely delivery.

Technical & Administrative Duties

• Troubleshoot issues related to hosting, domains, plugins, and compatibility.
• Ensure all websites follow best practices for security, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility.
• Maintain organized project files, documentation, and communication logs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional web development experience, preferably with small business clients.
• Strong proficiency in WordPress (required).
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP (preferred).
• Proven background in SEO, including on-page optimization, keyword research, and SEO tools.
• Experience in digital marketing or website funnel optimization is a strong plus.
• Working knowledge of website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with clients.
• Strong organizational habits and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing conversion-focused landing pages.
• Familiarity with branding, user experience (UX) principles, and basic graphic design.
• Knowledge of CRM integrations and basic automation workflows.
• Ability to create SEO-friendly content (a plus but not required).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
