Under administrative supervision, the Code Enforcement Officer Supervisor will oversee the Code Enforcement Officers of the department. The employee will supervise, train and monitor the Code Enforcement Officers and provide education through various venues. The Employee will work under the direction of the Env/Health Code Compliance Director and has daily contact with the public, requiring tact, courtesy and diplomacy. The employee performs supervisory work, planning, organizing, scheduling, assigning and evaluating the work performance of the Code Enforcement Officers and assists in resolving public health hazards, public safety and property protection. The Code Enforcement Officer Supervisor will also handle day to day administrative duties, which may include signing and verifying overtime statements, approving vacation leave, etc. The Code Enforcement Supervisor will also be responsible for obtaining supplies, uniforms, safety equipment, and tools needed by officers to perform duties in the field.
