Position Environment Professional

Location Reko Diq Mine Site – Balochistan

Qualification Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.

Experience Minimum 3 to 6 years of professional experience in environmental management, preferably in mining, infrastructure, or construction sectors.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and compliance requirements in Pakistan.
• Experience in environmental monitoring and reporting including air, water, waste, noise, and soil.
• Familiarity with Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs), environmental audits, and compliance inspections.
• Knowledge of environmental monitoring equipment and basic GIS or mapping systems is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently in remote and challenging field environments.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Implement Barrick’s Sustainability Policy and Procedures across project operations.
• Ensure compliance with the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), environmental approvals, permits, and applicable legislation.
• Support environmental monitoring activities including air quality, water quality, waste management, noise, and soil assessments.
• Collect, analyze, and report environmental monitoring data in line with project and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the implementation of site-specific environmental management plans.
• Coordinate with construction teams to integrate environmental protection measures into daily operations.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to identify non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate environmental records, reports, and databases.
• Deliver environmental training and awareness sessions to construction teams.
• Support stakeholder engagement and liaise with regulators, consultants, and local communities.
• Prepare and contribute to environmental reports, progress updates, and compliance audits.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in environmental performance.
