Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 3 to 6 years of professional experience in environmental management, preferably in mining, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
Requirements

Strong understanding of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and compliance requirements in Pakistan.

Experience in environmental monitoring and reporting including air, water, waste, noise, and soil.

Familiarity with Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs), environmental audits, and compliance inspections.

Knowledge of environmental monitoring equipment and basic GIS or mapping systems is an advantage.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Ability to work independently in remote and challenging field environments.
Responsibilities

Implement Barrick’s Sustainability Policy and Procedures across project operations.

Ensure compliance with the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), environmental approvals, permits, and applicable legislation.

Support environmental monitoring activities including air quality, water quality, waste management, noise, and soil assessments.

Collect, analyze, and report environmental monitoring data in line with project and regulatory requirements.

Assist in the implementation of site-specific environmental management plans.

Coordinate with construction teams to integrate environmental protection measures into daily operations.

Conduct site inspections and audits to identify non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain accurate environmental records, reports, and databases.

Deliver environmental training and awareness sessions to construction teams.

Support stakeholder engagement and liaise with regulators, consultants, and local communities.

Prepare and contribute to environmental reports, progress updates, and compliance audits.

Assist in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in environmental performance.
