Monterey One water is looking for an experienced analyst with a positive disposition to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, an understanding of regulatory compliance concepts, and the ability to effectively communicate complex information in a fast-paced environment. Any combination of experience and education/training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in planning, environmental science, engineering, or a closely related field. Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience obtaining, implementing, and complying with regulatory permits and approvals.

Employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and controlled temperature. Employees may work onAgencyplant and construction site environment; travel from site to site; exposure to inclement weather conditions, noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, and gases; work on slippery or uneven surfaces; work or inspect underground; work around heavy construction equipment. Employees may interact withchallengingstaff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing Agency policies and procedures.

RetirementCalPERS. Local Misc.:
Six month waiting period, accrual every pay period. 440 is the max accrual.
Employees are granted 96 hours of sick leave, accrued per pay period. There is no limit to the amount of sick leave an employee may accrue due to the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) sick leave conversion credit accumulation upon retirement.
Bereavement LeaveUp to five days per incident. Employees can use sick, vacation, compensatory time, or Admin leave.
Military LeaveTemporary military leaves of absence will be granted to engage in ordered military duty.
Holidays13 paid Holidays per year + 1 floating holiday per year.
EAPThe Agency provides and pays for an EAP Program through Claremont EAP.
Education IncentiveThe employee will be reimbursed for books and tuition only and the employee will receive reimbursement of the course with a grade of "C" or higher. There is a 6 month waiting period for this benefit. Reimbursement is limited to the following maximums:
Community CollegeAFLAC, Flexible Spending Account (unreimbursed medical and dependent care) and Deferred Compensation Plan (Principal, no matching funds).
