Oracle Legal is seeking an experienced attorney to join our team, specializing in environmental, safety, and energy law. This role provides strategic guidance and legal support across a broad spectrum of regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise business leaders on a wide range of environmental, safety, and sustainability issues impacting Oracle operations and strategy.
- Direct global regulatory permitting and compliance efforts, working closely with external counsel to ensure adherence to international, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Provide expert legal support for corporate due diligence, real estate transactions, and commercial agreements involving environmental considerations.
- Develop and implement legal strategy related to environmental and safety regulatory, enforcement, and litigation matters, including oversight of outside counsel to drive successful outcomes.
- Create and execute legislative and regulatory strategies for Oracle and its clients regarding energy and environmental regulatory issues.
- Draft written submissions, comments, and filings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), PJM Interconnection, and state regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory changes and advise on compliance risks and opportunities as they relate to Oracle's business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership.
- Significant experience advising on environmental, safety, and sustainability laws and regulations, preferably with a global remit.
- Demonstrated expertise in the energy regulatory environment, including FERC, PJM, and state agencies.
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Experience managing outside counsel and complex legal matters to resolution.
