Job Overview:
Alliance Technical Group (formerly RSB Environmental) seeks an Environmental Field Inspector to join our team. This role involves approximately 75% field work and includes:
- Site Visits/Field Inspections: Conduct site visits and field inspections for Environmental Compliance Projects, Property Condition Assessments Projects, and Stormwater Quality Projects. Collect data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and construction specifications for wastewater and stormwater projects.
- Scheduling and Travel: Schedule field inspections and travel out of state for some projects (company car provided or mileage paid).
- Reporting and Documentation: Assist with final reports, create and update site maps, and manage project records. Prepare daily written inspection reports with consistent written and photo documentation of field activities.
- Construction Meetings and Variance Documentation: Participate in construction meetings and prepare documentation to support requests for variances from environmental permits.
- Additional Tasks: Perform additional tasks as assigned or required.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in Geology or Applied Science or related field (training will be provided).
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Biology, Geology, Soil Science, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- Preferred: Minimum of one year of progressively responsible construction permitting inspection or management experience, including substantive work in site development and stormwater management projects.
- Proficient technical skills, including experience using Microsoft Office programs, digital cameras, and other handheld data collection devices.
Skills:
- Adequate written and oral communication skills to prepare reports and communicate with stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of construction, inspection, and permitting processes.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot, cold, dirty, dusty, and noisy environments.
- Capable of walking over rough, uneven, and occasionally slippery surfaces, climbing stairs and ladders, stooping, reaching, and occasionally lifting objects weighing 20 to 50 pounds.
