Key Responsibilities

If this is you, then the Office of Communicable Diseases wants you as as the Manager of the an Environmental Sanitation Program (ESP) within the Environmental Epidemiology Program (EEP). This position has overall responsibility for all functions of the Environmental Epidemiology Program (EEP) and the role you fill will be a vital one as you meet the needs of state of Utah and federal requirements while ensuring the safety of Utah's general public. You will make a difference from day one!
Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position:
This position has responsibility for all functions of the Environmental Health Program (EHP) within DHHS including managing personnel, budgets, contracts, equipment and logistics of the program. This includes organizing the services and functions that the EHP provides to the local health departments, other state and federal partners, and to the public. The EHP manager will serve as the subject matter expert for all topics covered under Title R392 and will be responsible for approving amendments and managing all rules under Title R392. The manager is responsible for responding to information requests from the public, legislators, and public health partners including GRAMA requests, fiscal notes, and providing information on proposed statutory changes. The EHP manager will service as the DHHS liaison with the local health departments, FDA, the Conference for Food Protection, and NEHA.
