Overview:
A highly qualified and motivated partner-level Environmental Law Attorney is sought to join a growing practice with a focus on environmental regulatory and transactional matters. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience advising clients on environmental compliance, permitting, and risk management, as well as providing legal support for complex transactions and development projects. A strong background in due diligence, environmental assessments, wetlands and coastal permitting, air quality, hazardous materials contamination, and enforcement matters is essential.

The position requires excellent legal judgment, sophisticated analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage significant client engagements independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on environmental regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local frameworks
  • Provide transactional due diligence support involving environmental liabilities and risk mitigation
  • Assist with environmental assessments and permitting, including wetlands and coastal development
  • Counsel clients on complex land use issues and integration with environmental requirements
  • Handle matters involving air quality regulation and hazardous materials contamination
  • Represent clients in enforcement actions, compliance negotiations, and dispute resolution
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and business-focused guidance
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas on large-scale projects and transactions

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Minimum of 6 years of substantive environmental law experience
  • Demonstrated success in environmental permitting, compliance, and transactional support
  • Strong written, verbal advocacy, and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Florida Bar admission preferred or willingness to become admitted
  • Portable book of business preferred at the partner level
  • Spanish language skills preferred
