Environmental ManagerFull Time

To ensure a safe and clean environment within Dallah network through managing housekeeping services, laundry services, and waste management activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

Planning and Strategy

• Ensure work is performed based on approved policies, processes, procedures, and instructions
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering leading practices, cost reduction and productivity improvement
• Ensure day-to-day activities are properly performed in line with policies and procedures
• Follow-up on escalated cases/issues of subordinates to ensure they are closed efficiently and in a timely manner

Environmental Services

• Keep abreast of latest trends in environmental services across other national and international healthcare networks, and integrate improvement opportunities within Dallah practices
• Align with Facility Planning and Standards (HO) on environmental services standards, guidelines, and SLAs
• Identify facility needs pertaining to environmental services (i.e., housekeeping, laundry, and waste management) based on received input, historical data, best practices, etc.
• Define environmental services annual plan including needed resources and schedules, and ensure alignment with facility needs and pre-set SLAs
• Oversee shifts schedules to ensure hygienic environment and patient satisfaction during peak and non-peak hours
• Review and consolidate housekeeping performance reports highlighting key findings and areas of improvement

People Management

• Optimize resources and ensure team is efficient and provide recommendations for improvement
• Contribute to employee performance management, and provide formal and informal feedback to support professional development and maximize performance

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

Knowledge and Experience

7-10 years of relevant experience is required with 5+ years in a managerial role is preferred

Education and Certifications

• A Bachelor in Biology, or related field is required
