Environmental Offcer

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the organization adheres to all relevant environmental regulations, laws, and standards.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance and identify any environmental hazards.
• Prepare and submit reports required by regulatory bodies.
• Policy Development and Implementation:
• Develop and implement environmental policies and practices in line with organizational goals and legal requirements.
• Recommend updates to policies based on changes in regulations or environmental goals.
• Environmental Impact Assessment:
• Conduct environmental impact assessments for projects or new facilities.
• Evaluate potential risks and propose measures to mitigate negative impacts.
• Waste and Pollution Management:
• Oversee waste disposal, recycling, and pollution control programs.
• Implement strategies to reduce waste generation, pollution, and environmental footprint.
• Energy and Resource Conservation:
• Promote energy-saving initiatives and resource conservation strategies.
• Work with departments to reduce water and energy usage and increase resource efficiency.
• Training and Awareness:
• Conduct training sessions for employees to raise awareness of environmental issues and best practices.
• Encourage sustainable practices across the organization.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to environmental audits, compliance, and inspections.
• Generate periodic reports on environmental performance and sustainability goals.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, environmental agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Act as the main point of contact for environmental matters within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
• Strong analytical skills for conducting environmental assessments and audits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff, management, and stakeholders.
• Certification in environmental management (ISO 14001)

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
