Job Title: Environmental Services Technician
Location: Elmhurst, IL (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract – 13 Weeks (Potential for Extension or Permanent Hire)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to support facility cleanliness and operational efficiency. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and organized environment while supporting daily operations and staff needs.

Responsibilities

Cleaning & Sanitation

• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of carts, delivery trucks, and facility areas
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control

Facility Maintenance

• Ensure cleanliness of floors, surfaces, and common areas
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment

Inventory & Supply Management

• Monitor, manage, and restock SPD materials, dry goods, and paper supplies
• Ensure availability of supplies to support uninterrupted operations

Operational Support

• Support technicians and staff by ensuring necessary materials and equipment are readily available
• Assist with day-to-day facility operations as needed

General Upkeep

• Take ownership of facility cleanliness and organization
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and cleanliness standards

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience preferred

Required Skills

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Positive attitude with a proactive, “can-do” mindset
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Adaptability in a fast-paced setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a healthcare or similar environment
• Familiarity with sanitation and infection control practices
