Environmental Specialist - Hazardous Waste Profiler

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Environmental Specialist - Hazardous Waste Profiler to join our team. In this vital role, you will assess hazardous waste streams, ensure regulatory compliance, and support environmental management initiatives. Your expertise will help us maintain our commitment to environmental stewardship while fostering a safe and compliant workplace.

Duties

Waste Profiling & Compliance

  • Review and approve hazardous and non-hazardous waste profiles
  • Evaluate SDS, analytical data, and waste characterization information
  • Assign appropriate hazardous waste codes (D, F, K, U, P codes)
  • Ensure compliance with RCRA, EPA, DOT, and state regulations
  • Maintain waste profile database and documentation
  • Assist with manifest preparation and regulatory documentation
  • Coordinate with operations on waste acceptance and disposal methods Maintain and tracklab pack inventory , including chemicals, containers, and packing supplies
  • Assist with lab pack profiling and documentation
  • Support preparation of lab pack shipments and disposal documentation

Operational Coordination Work with sales staff to evaluate new waste streams

  • Communicate with customers regarding waste documentation requirements
  • Assist with regulatory recordkeeping and compliance documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in hazardous waste, environmental services, or waste profiling
  • Knowledge of RCRA hazardous waste regulations
  • Experience reviewing SDS sheets and chemical compositions
  • Familiarity with waste manifests and waste profile documentation
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

Preferred background:

  • Environmental science, chemistry, or environmental compliance
  • Experience with TSDF facilities or waste management companies
  • Experience with lab packs or hazardous waste operations

Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
