About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Construction Superintendent / Field Manager to lead environmental remediation and field construction projects. This role is primarily responsible for implementing environmental cleanup projects while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, planning, and field execution experience managing multidisciplinary crews, subcontractors, and environmental construction activities across multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee environmental remediation and construction projects at multiple sites with minimal supervision.
- Manage daily field operations including personnel, subcontractors, equipment operators, and labor crews.
- Ensure compliance with all company and client Health & Safety requirements.
- Coordinate project sequencing, scheduling, and execution to maintain productivity and prevent delays.
- Interpret project plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Identify changed conditions, potential risks, and out-of-scope work.
- Complete and maintain accurate daily field reports and project documentation.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and production goals.
- Procure materials and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors.
- Assist with cost estimates, change orders, and forecasting project costs to complete.
- Participate in site walks, subcontractor solicitation, estimating, and proposal support.
- Lead accident investigations and implement corrective actions, SOPs, and safety stand-downs when necessary.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and field efficiencies.
- Work closely with senior leadership to support operational and project goals.
- Supervise, mentor, and support the development of field staff and craft personnel.
Requirements
Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience leading environmental remediation, soil remediation, demolition/decontamination, habitat restoration, or related construction projects.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary field crews and subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel up to 50% to project sites across multiple states as needed.
- Supervisor training experience required.
Preferred Qualifications

Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification and 8-Hour Refresher.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- USACE or Department of Defense (DoD) project experience.
- USACE Quality Control (QC) Training.
