Position Overview

The Environmental & Sustainability Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental programs and initiatives. This role is crucial for ensuring the organization's operations comply with all local and international environmental regulations, while also driving sustainability efforts to minimize our environmental footprint. The specialist will assess our impact, manage waste and energy programs, and promote a culture of environmental stewardship across the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all relevant environmental laws, regulations, and permits. Ensure all company operations are in full compliance.
• Lead the planning and execution of environmental programs, including waste management, energy conservation, emissions reduction, and water usage optimization.
• Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to standards. Prepare and submit accurate environmental reports to management and regulatory bodies.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data to track performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions.
• Develop and deliver training programs to raise employee awareness about environmental policies and sustainability goals. Promote best practices throughout the organization.
• Lead or support sustainability projects, such as implementing new technologies, achieving certifications (e.g., ISO 14001), or developing renewable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3- 5 Years of proven experience in a corporate environmental, health, and safety role or a similar sustainability-focused position.
