Environmental Technician

WKC is looking for Environmental Technicians to join our team in Abu Dhabi. We're open to full-time or part-time arrangements and welcome applications from individuals passionate about wildlife conservation, fieldwork and hands-on ecological research.

As an Environmental Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting our terrestrial ecology team across a range of conservation and monitoring projects, including species translocation initiatives and field-based data collection.

Key Responsibilities

Support terrestrial ecology and translocation projects, including:

• Safe capture, handling and release of wildlife.
• Transporting animals in line with welfare guidelines.
• Translocated wildlife monitoring.

Assist with ecological field surveys, including:

• Terrestrial ecology sampling, data recording, and (with training) analysis.
• Deployment and retrieval of monitoring equipment (Anabat, Cam Traps etc)

Provide broader support to the Terrestrial Team:

• Land transport and driving across field sites.
• Technical and administrative support as required.

Required / Preferred Experience

• Previous fieldwork or ecology experience.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Experience handling wildlife (preferred but not essential).
