The target annual rate for the Environmental Waste Services Superintendent is between $89,693 - $112,116; depending on qualifications

The Public Works Department is seeking an energetic and experienced leader to join our Environmental Waste Services team. We are looking for someone who embodies our core values of respect, teamwork, trust, safety, and communication. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of field and business operations in waste services collections, ideally within a city of similar size, along with a passion for mentoring and developing team members.

The position will report to the Environmental Waste Services Manager, also working closely with the Assistant Director of Public Works – Community Services. The Environmental Waste Services Superintendent directly oversees a team of 69 people in our Environmental Waste Services operations. This person leads these teams to service nearly 74,000 households each week – more than 9 million collection stops each year. Safety and reliability are top priorities for our team, who consistently maintains high customer satisfaction while working in neighborhoods every day.

Hours are Monday through Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm.
