EOX and Global High Rise Engineering Manager

General Description

The EOX and Global High Rise Engineering Manager is a senior engineering leader responsible for defining and driving regional product strategy, while leveraging the globally shared technology platforms that power our product portfolio. This role will oversee cross-functional engineering initiatives and establish core platform capabilities—spanning mechanical, electrical, digital, and system domains—that accelerate innovation, ensure scalability, and drive consistency across product lines for the region.

This role is pivotal in enabling faster time-to-market, reusability, and alignment between local execution and global engineering strategies.



Key Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Solutions

  • Define and evolve the local product solution while leveraging the company’s global platform architecture and modular product strategy to meet local business needs.
  • Leverage common technology stacks, subsystems, and standards to promote efficiency within the region.
  • Align global component roadmaps with regional product teams to ensure platform scalability and market relevance.

Technical & Product Leadership

  • Provide oversight and governance for all platform-related development activities, including system design, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Ensure platforms enable efficient product development by downstream teams while supporting manufacturability, safety, serviceability, and compliance.
  • Oversee lifecycle management of platform technologies, including modernization strategies and obsolescence mitigation.

Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

  • Serve as a key technical interface between global engineering leadership and regional product development centers.
  • Drive alignment and technical coherence across regions through structured collaboration, shared governance models, and consistent processes.
  • Partner with commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure platform solutions meet internal and customer needs.

Operational Excellence & Innovation

  • Champion engineering best practices, model-based development, and digital simulation techniques to drive quality and speed.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing complexity, enhancing reliability, and improving cost performance across platforms.
  • Manage platform-related budgets, resources, and technology investments with a clear ROI mindset.

Talent Development & Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing platform engineering organization, including domain experts, architects, and managers.
  • Coach Engineering Managers, fostering growth, accountability, and technical excellence throughout the team.
  • Develop future leaders through mentoring, succession planning, and cross-functional exposure.

Governance & Risk Management

  • Establish governance processes for platform decisions, change management, and technology lifecycle reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements across platform initiatives.
  • Assess and mitigate technical and programmatic risks early in the development lifecycle.



Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering (required).
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Systems Architecture, or Business Administration (preferred).

Professional Experience

  • 10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in platform or systems leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in modular product development and platform governance across global markets.
  • Experience leading in a matrixed, multinational organization, preferably in elevator, manufacturing, or closely related industries.

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep technical knowledge of systems architecture, product lifecycle management, and platform strategy.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and change management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse global audiences.
  • High proficiency with engineering tools and digital development environments (CAD, PLM, simulation, etc.).
  • Global mindset with cultural awareness and adaptability.



Work Environment and Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel internationally (up to 30%).
  • Role includes a mix of office, manufacturing site, and field environment interactions.
