UTHealth Houston's Epic Operating Team is looking for an analyst who will work on the billing modules associated with our revenue cycle process. You will be responsible for the ongoing design, build, testing, validation, and support of any and all assigned Professional Billing (PB) modules across the healthcare system. Works with operational stakeholders and IT technical staff to troubleshoot Epic system issues and problems, capture requirements for new initiatives, and aid in the planning and execution of project plans. Works with end users to help communicate improvements needed for business processes and contribute directly to the success of the UTHealth mission from a technological, clinical, administrative, and financial perspective.
Candidates will need to be certified in Epic Professional Billing (PB), and it would be helpful if they are familiar with PB Claims and remittance. The focus of this analyst will revolve around claims and billing workflows. You should be solid enough to handle both building and testing these modules.
This role is remote, but we prefer employees to live in Texas.

Position Summary:

Position Key Accountabilities:
Certification/Skills:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or a related discipline, or equivalent years of related experience in health care or information technology will be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum Experience:
Five (5) years of experience in a health care related field required. Three (3) of experience supporting one or more Epic modules preferred. Large scale health care systems planning and implementation experience on application software products preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive:
This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094. To the extent that a position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Texas Business and Commerce Code §117.001(2), the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired for and to continue to be employed in that position. Personnel in such positions, and similarly situated state contractors, will be routinely reviewed to determine whether things such as criminal history or continuous connections to the government or political apparatus of a foreign adversary might prevent the applicant, employee, or contractor from being able to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure.
