POSITION SUMMARY
TCA Health is seeking an Epic Project Manager (Contract - 6 months) responsible for Epic Implementation Specialist at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is responsible for managing the deployment, configuration, and optimization of the Epic EHR system to meet the unique needs and regulatory requirements of a community health center environment. This role ensures seamless integration, efficient workflows, and high-quality patient care for underserved populations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but are not limited to the following):
- Leading or assisting with the planning, design, and implementation of Epic modules like EpicCare Ambulatory and MyChart. This includes customizing the system for the FQHC's specific needs.
- Analyzing workflows to identify improvements and translate those into technical solutions within Epic.
- Creating training materials and providing support to staff on using Epic applications.
- Providing on-site support during and after implementation, troubleshooting issues.
- Assisting with data conversion and using Epic reporting tools for analysis and compliance.
- Managing system updates and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA.
- Serving as a link between staff, IT, and vendors to ensure project alignment.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with Epic EHR systems, ideally including a full implementation cycle.
- Knowledge of relevant Epic modules used in FQHCs.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Essential soft skills include strong analytical, communication, project management, and organizational abilities.
- The ability to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.
Preferred:
- Epic certification
- Experience in an FQHC or similar environment is a plus.
