POSITION SUMMARY

TCA Health is seeking an Epic Project Manager (Contract - 6 months) responsible for Epic Implementation Specialist at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is responsible for managing the deployment, configuration, and optimization of the Epic EHR system to meet the unique needs and regulatory requirements of a community health center environment. This role ensures seamless integration, efficient workflows, and high-quality patient care for underserved populations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but are not limited to the following):

Leading or assisting with the planning, design, and implementation of Epic modules like EpicCare Ambulatory and MyChart. This includes customizing the system for the FQHC's specific needs.
Analyzing workflows to identify improvements and translate those into technical solutions within Epic.
Creating training materials and providing support to staff on using Epic applications.
Providing on-site support during and after implementation, troubleshooting issues.
Assisting with data conversion and using Epic reporting tools for analysis and compliance.
Managing system updates and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA.
Serving as a link between staff, IT, and vendors to ensure project alignment.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Experience with Epic EHR systems, ideally including a full implementation cycle.
Knowledge of relevant Epic modules used in FQHCs.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Required:
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Essential soft skills include strong analytical, communication, project management, and organizational abilities.
The ability to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.

Preferred:

Epic certification
Experience in an FQHC or similar environment is a plus.
