Job Description


This is a mid-level role within the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and will report to the EPMO Lead within the Delivery Assurance, Enterprise PMO and R&D Tax Credits function.

The Consultant Agile Coach will work closely with the Agile Coach within the EPMO. They will collaborate with the Agile Coach and the Project / Delivery Management Coach within the EPMO embedding best-in-class project and delivery practices across Version 1. They will support the adoption of Agile practices and frameworks wherever practicable in project delivery. They will work alongside the Agile Coach, growing into the role of coaching delivery teams and Scrum Masters They well help to facilitate learning and implementation of sound and valuable Agile practises through workshops, training, and Communities of Practice (CoPs).

Side-by-side with the Agile Coach they will work with Scrum Masters and Project / Delivery Managers of Agile / Hybrid projects across the organisation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with PM/DM and Agile Coach as they standardise Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid Version 1 delivery methodologies.
  • Deliver bespoke training, incorporating Traditional Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies, with the support of the Agile and PM/DM Coach.
  • Provide input to KPIs for Agile/Hybrid/Waterfall methodologies to enable Practices and Delivery Assurance to track the performance projects
  • Support the onboarding of Scrum Masters; and onboarding of Project/Delivery Managers to Agile projects.
  • Help Co-ordinate Version 1 Agilists Community of Practice (CoP) and facilitate CoP sessions.
  • Deliver bespoke workshops (designed by the Agile Coach) for Version 1 and our customers.
  • Shadow group coaching and mentoring sessions to enable facilitation of these in the future.
  • Support Agile professionals hiring initiatives
  • Support the delivery of the wider Enterprise PMO Roadmap
  • Champion Version 1 Core Values.
  • Maintain and update Knowledge Centre and methodology repositories.

Qualifications


Essential

  • Experience of Agile / Hybrid Projects
  • Experience of coaching 1 or more teams in Scrum (preferably also with Kanban)
  • Broad experience of Agile & Hybrid delivery models
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Passion for Continuous Improvement, new ideas/approaches and agility
  • Certification or Accreditation in Agile (such as CSM, PSM, ACSM or similar)
  • Experience with Jira and / or Azure Dev Ops,

Preferred

Experience with tools such as MS SharePoint (Admin), PowerBI, Kantata
