Equipment Mechanic

We are currently looking for a skilled Equipment Mechanic/Technician to join our team.

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all machinery
• Identify and resolve issues within major systems on compact equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Execute comprehensive system overhauls and rebuilds
• Utilize welding techniques for equipment repair
• Collaborate seamlessly across departments including Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental to support team goals
• Complete various additional duties as directed by your supervisor

Required Qualifications:

• At least five years of professional experience servicing heavy machinery such as excavators and skid steers
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge with expertise in hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics
• Demonstrate a proactive, organized, and energetic approach while managing multiple tasks and utilizing computer systems

Professional Development:

• Acquire specialized knowledge regarding specific equipment makes and models
• Obtain industry-recognized certifications including ASE, Powerfluid Society, and manufacturer credentials

Essential Skills:

• Developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules
• Executing complex heavy equipment repairs
• Applying advanced mechanical troubleshooting techniques
• Performing diverse maintenance and repair tasks
• Maintaining and repairing lift trucks
• Servicing diesel and heavy equipment systems
• Working with hydraulic components and systems
• Diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment electrical systems
• Interpreting electrical schematics
