Equity Trader

Position Summary:

BMA Investment Advisors is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Equity Trader to join our dynamic Investment Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing equity trades with precision, ensuring adherence to compliance and operational standards, and contributing to the firm’s overall investment performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute buy/sell orders for equities in line with portfolio manager instructions and market best practices
• Manage trade allocation across client portfolios and ensure accuracy
• Identify, investigate, and resolve trade errors promptly
• Perform post-trade reconciliation to ensure all trades are correctly booked and settled
• Liaise with custodians, brokers, and back-office teams to ensure smooth trade lifecycle management
• Monitor market conditions and provide timely execution updates to the investment team
• Ensure compliance with internal risk and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives for trading operations

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business (Master’s degree preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on equity trading experience, preferably in SMA, asset management, or investment advisory firms
• Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle, settlements, and market operations
• Proficiency in using trading platforms and market data tools
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
