Erection Foreman

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Erection Foreman to supervise and execute steel structure erection activities at site. The candidate will be responsible for manpower supervision, safety compliance, and ensuring erection works are completed as per drawings and schedule.

Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise day-to-day steel erection activities (columns, beams, trusses, purlins, etc.)
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and method statements
• Coordinate with Site Engineer / Project Engineer for daily targets

2. Manpower & Productivity Management

• Allocate and manage erection crew (riggers, fitters, welders, helpers)
• Monitor productivity and ensure efficient utilization of manpower
• Maintain discipline and workflow at site

3. Safety Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to HSE procedures and safety standards
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers use PPE
• Coordinate with safety team for lifting plans and work permits

4. Equipment & Lifting Coordination

• Coordinate with crane operators and ensure safe lifting operations
• Check lifting tools, tackles, and equipment before use
• Follow approved lifting plans and rigging procedures

5. Quality & Inspection

• Ensure alignment, level, and bolt tightening as per specifications
• Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections (WIR/RFI)
• Rectify any non-conformance as per instructions

6. Material Handling

• Verify materials received at site against drawings
• Ensure proper handling and storage of steel members
• Avoid damage and material wastage

7. Reporting & Coordination

• Report daily progress to Site Engineer / Project Engineer
• Highlight site issues, delays, and material shortages
• Maintain basic site records and work updates

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI or relevant technical qualification
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in steel structure erection
• Strong experience in PEB / structural steel projects
• GCC experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Ability to read structural drawings and erection plans
• Knowledge of rigging, lifting, and alignment techniques
• Familiar with site safety practices and procedures

Preferred Profile

• Experience in industrial / warehouse / factory steel projects
• Ability to handle independent erection activities
• Immediate joiners preferred
