We are looking for an experienced Erection Foreman to supervise site crews during the installation of structural and miscellaneous steel works. The role is responsible for ensuring erection activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a crew of erectors, riggers, and welders during steel erection works.
- Interpret shop drawings, erection drawings, and lifting plans to guide installation.
- Plan daily activities with the Site Engineer and allocate manpower accordingly.
- Ensure safe use of cranes, lifting gear, scaffolding, and access equipment during erection.
- Monitor alignment, leveling, and bolting/welding of steel structures.
- Coordinate with the Project Engineer for site inspections and approvals.
- Report daily progress, man-hours, and issues to the Site Engineer.
- Enforce compliance with site HSE rules at all times.
- Identify and escalate site issues (access, clashes, delays) early to management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural discipline preferred.
- 5–7 years’ experience in structural steel erection with at least 2 years as a Foreman.
- Strong knowledge of bolted and welded steel connections.
- Ability to read and interpret erection drawings.
- Hands-on leadership and ability to manage multi-national crews.
- Knowledge of safe rigging, lifting, and erection practices.
- Good communication skills.
