We are growing our IT team at Thompson Retractor and are looking for an organized and driven ERP Business Analyst to come aboard. The ERP Business Analyst bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring ERP systems are effectively designed, implemented, and maintained to optimize processes. They gather requirements, map processes, configure software, perform functional testing, and train users to drive system adoption. We’re an energetic company and are looking for a passionate individual to join our organization and enhance our IT foundation.
Thompson is employee-owned and vested employees automatically receive company shares. This position reports to the IT Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements & Analysis: Define business needs by analyzing current operational processes and translating them into functional requirements for ERP systems.
- System Configuration & Testing: Configure, test, and troubleshoot ERP modules (e.g., finance, supply chain) to ensure they meet business requirements and are free of errors.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary bridge between technical teams and end-users, ensuring clear communication and consensus building.
- Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, policies, procedures, and user guides, and provide training to stakeholders.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the current workflows and optimize processes withing the ERP to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information, Technology, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Acumatica
- Experience in SQL
- Demonstrated success in business requirement gathering, functional testing, process analysis and process improvement & documentation
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
