The ERP Master Data Controller is the single point of accountability for the accuracy, integrity, consistency, and governance of all ERP master data across the Group. The role ensures that master data supports financial integrity, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness, in line with approved policies and internal controls.
Scope of Master data
Responsible for governance and control of, including but not limited to:
- Chart of Accounts (CoA), financial dimensions, and posting profiles
- Customers, vendors, and credit-related master data
- Item masters, BOMs, formulations, and product hierarchies
- Fixed assets master data
- Bank accounts, payment terms, tax and regulatory attributes
- Intercompany master data
Data Quality & Integrity
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of master data across all legal entities
- Perform periodic data quality reviews, reconciliations, and validations
- Identify and resolve duplicates, inconsistencies, and data integrity issues
- Monitor and report data quality KPIs
Change Management & Controls
- Manage and document master data change requests through approved workflows
- Ensure all changes are supported by proper approvals and audit trials
- Coordinate master data changes during month-end, year-end, and cut-off periods
- Support internal and external audit requests related to master data
ERP & Business Coordination
- Act as the central coordination point between business owners, Finance, and IT
- Ensure business requirements are translated into standardized ERP master data structures
- Support ERP enhancements, UAT, and go-live readiness related to master data
- Ensure alignment between operational data and financial reporting requirements
Compliance & Audit Readiness
- Ensure master data complies with IFRS requirements, and internal policies
- Support audits by providing evidence of controls, approvals, and data integrity
- Participate in risk assessments related to data integrity and system controls
- Support remediation of audit findings related to master data
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain up-to-date master data dictionaries, naming conventions, and process documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, automation, and control effectiveness
- Recommend enhancements to governance frameworks as ERP maturity increases

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
- Strong understanding of financial master data and internal controls
- Experience supporting audits and compliance frameworks
- Exposure to ERP implementations, data migration, or post-go-live stabilization preferred
Minimum Experience (no. of years)
- 3-5 years’ experience in ERP environments (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 FO)
