ERP Senior Analyst I (Oracle Fusion)

Job Summary:

The ERP Senior Analyst I is responsible for having a strong knowledge of system applications with the ability to perform configurations independently. Experience as a business analyst, along with strong software development and implementation life cycle knowledge allows for this role to best support business processes from a systems perspective.

The ERP Senior Analyst I is a strong learner and applies business acumen to obtain new or changing system business requirements from the business field. This role requires the ability to apply thoughts sprightly when implementing new applications and systems along with successfully promoting an environment focused on the business user’s knowledge, growth, and independence.

The role is responsible for ensuring that system change management or implementation life cycle policies (testing scripts, configuration & unit testing, UAT, functional specs, advancing changes through system environments etc.) are adhered to while providing timely business support.

The ERP Senior Analyst I is responsible for creating, maintaining, and executing project plans and/or working collaboratively with the project management team in maintaining and executing the plans.

The ERP Senior Analyst I is responsible to provide strong verbal and written communications to drive collaboration with colleagues in technical and business departments on related system issues and projects. This role responds timely to business inquiries and provides accurate and thorough answers utilizing knowledge of financial applications, productivity tools, and internal resources.

Job Duties:

  • Provides financial system and data support based on the alignment of business processes, within the financial system platform
  • Assists the business with performing queries and defining report requirements in an efficient way for analysis and distribution to practice managers
  • Effectively communicates with business users/owners and proactively contributes ideas and proposed solutions to the business and financial system team members
  • Accurately updates system inquiries, from the business and internal team members, in a timely and effective manner
  • Develops solutions for financial system data analysis, to manage the business or support resolution of end user inquiries, including proper data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and communicating
  • Performs functional research or data mining as needed to assist business owners in the pursuit of identifying key performance measures and indicators that drive reporting and analytics to manage the business
  • Assists workstream business owners in the development of test scripts, policies, and procedures
  • Performs financial system configurations independently to meet business requirements as defined by the business or for maintenance
  • Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in support issues, financial data and proactively recommends actions and solutions
  • Participates in cross functional teams to identify business risks and creates analytics and dashboards to improve business processes
  • Executes financial system activities as defined in the project plan and milestone assignments and proactively participates in the planning phase, when required
  • Proactively collaborates and strategizes with IT, financial systems, and other business teams to drive system efficiencies across the business
  • Configures and maintains system security and promptly responds to security inquiries, including documenting security changes, and takes corrective action as required
  • Ensures integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data when creating new security access configurations and granting of access to users; promptly engages with Management or Internal Audit to clarify security requests/concerns
  • Demonstrates understanding of business process workflows and how financial applications are used in support of those processes
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve or gain efficiencies within the financial systems or business processes, including creating and maintaining reporting tools/ templates to facilitate the production of financial reports and dashboards
  • Consistently contributes to defining, planning, coordinating, and executing of financial system updates and also contributes to the growth of knowledge of end users
  • Provides detailed system requirements for product development, including executing functional test plans to ensure requirements are successfully met
  • Analyzes complex system issues reported by the business, assesses and provides corrective action in an effective and collaborative manner

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED AND nine (9) or more years of experience working with financial systems, required OR
  • Bachelor’s degree AND five (5) or more years of experience working with financial systems, required; with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology, preferred

Experience:

  • Three (3) or more years of experience working with financial systems, required
  • Two (2) or more years of experience working with Oracle Fusion, required
  • Prior experience working within a professional services firm such as accounting, financial services, business advisory and/or banking industries, preferred
  • Experience with and working knowledge of standard financial process (P2P, PPM, R2R), required
  • Experience with maintaining user security in an ERP system, preferred

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • N/A

Software:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, required
  • Proficient in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (i.e., Oracle ERP Cloud, Peoplesoft Financials, JD Edwards), preferred
  • Experience in the use of Business Intelligence Reporting Tools within Oracle FDI/OACS, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $90,000 - $100,000 Maryland Range: $90,000 - $100,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $90,000 - $100,000
