Position Overview
We are seeking an elite ERPNext Project Manager to lead a critical 6-month contract engagement with a singular mission: architect, implement, and deliver a fully functional, production-ready ERPNext system that transforms GK Hair's global operations. This is an intensive, high-stakes role demanding exceptional technical expertise, strategic vision, relentless execution, and proven experience delivering complex ERP implementations on aggressive timelines.
You will own end-to-end responsibility for system design, customization, integration, data migration, user adoption, and go-live success. This role requires a rare combination of deep ERPNext/Frappe technical mastery, manufacturing/FMCG industry expertise, international multi-entity implementation experience, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
Contract Duration: 6 months (Full-time)
Objective: Deliver 100% functional ERPNext system across all business units within the contract period
Team Structure: Lead a dedicated ERPNext Assistant + collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Execution
- Architect and implement enterprise-grade ERPNext solution supporting complex manufacturing, supply chain, and financial operations across multiple countries
- Lead all technical decisions regarding system configuration, customization, integration architecture, and infrastructure
- Develop high-quality, scalable custom code adhering to Frappe Framework best practices and ensuring upgrade compatibility
- Design and implement advanced automations, reducing manual effort by 70%+ across business processes
- Ensure system security, data privacy compliance (GDPR, etc.), and disaster recovery protocols
Project Management & Delivery
- Own project timeline, budget, scope, and quality; deliver on-time, on-budget against aggressive 6-month deadline
- Manage cross-functional stakeholders across departments and geographies; facilitate consensus and drive decision-making
- Conduct daily standups, weekly executive updates, and milestone reviews with senior leadership
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and blockers
- Manage ERPNext Assistant, delegating tasks effectively while ensuring quality standards
Business Process Transformation
- Analyze existing workflows across Manufacturing (BOM, Work Orders, Production Planning), Inventory (Stock Management, Quality Control), Procurement (RFQ, PO, Supplier Management), Sales (Order-to-Cash), Finance (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay), and HR (Hire-to-Retire)
- Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and opportunities for automation and process reengineering
- Design streamlined, ERPNext-enabled processes that improve speed, accuracy, compliance, and decision-making
- Balance process standardization with legitimate business unit requirements
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
- Build trust and credibility with department heads, end-users, and C-level executives through transparent communication and consistent delivery
- Translate complex technical concepts into business language; present confidently to non-technical audiences
- Drive user adoption through effective training, support, and change management strategies
- Manage resistance to change; champion ERP benefits and ROI to ensure organizational buy-in
Knowledge Transfer & Documentation
- Create comprehensive technical documentation covering system architecture, customizations, integrations, configurations, and troubleshooting guides
- Develop user-facing documentation, including manuals, SOPs, quick reference guides, and video tutorials
- Conduct formal knowledge transfer sessions with the IT team, ensuring seamless handover post-contract
- Establish self-service support resources empowering users to resolve common issues independently
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, Engineering, or related field
- ERPNext Certification (Developer or Consultant) - MANDATORY
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in ERPNext/Frappe development, implementation, and support
- Manufacturing, FMCG, CPG, or Retail industry experience is highly preferred
- International, multi-entity ERP implementations across multiple countries/currencies – REQUIRED
- Experience leading complex, time-constrained ERP projects with budgets exceeding $200K
- Expert-level proficiency in Frappe Framework, Python, JavaScript, MariaDB/MySQL, HTML/CSS, Jinja templating
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, DigitalOcean, Azure), server administration, and ERPNext hosting/deployment
- Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Metabase, Tableau) for advanced reporting and analytics
- Database optimization, query tuning, and performance troubleshooting expertise
- Demonstrates comprehensive functional knowledge across manufacturing operations, supply chain and inventory management, core accounting processes, and end-to-end HR workflows, supporting integrated ERP-driven business operations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication in English; ability to influence, persuade, and align diverse stakeholders
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset; quickly diagnose complex technical issues and design elegant solutions
