Escort Car Driver & Modular Production Support

This position combines vehicle escort driving with hands-on support for modular manufacturing operations and is team member on the Logistics team. This role ensures the safe movement of oversized modular units leaving the facility, while also contributing to production activities when not on the road. This is an ideal role for someone who is safetyfocused, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a fast-paced production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Escort Driving
  • Operate an escort vehicle to guide oversized loads during transportation as needed.
  • Maintain full compliance with state and local regulations for escort operations.
  • Communicate effectively with truck drivers and logistics team to ensure safe transport.
  • Positions and sequences modular units at storage site and factory location for delivery.
  • Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring all safety equipment is in working order, and addressing minor repairs.
• ProductionLogistics Support:
  • Assist modular production teams during non-driving periods.
  • Wrap, prep, and stage modular units for shipment, including protective covering, labeling, and final quality checks.
  • Collaborates with employees and leaders concerning work orders.
  • Builds, dismantles, and repairs structures, walls, roofs, glass, and siding as assigned.
  • Ensures tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized work environment

Required Qualifications

• Valid Chauffeur's License (State of Michigan or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Reliable personal vehicle suitable for escort operations, maintained in safe working condition and compliant.
• Clean driving record with strong safety awareness.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as part of production prep work.
• Comfort working outdoors and indoors in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills and reliability in time-sensitive operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in logistics, transportation, or modular/offsite construction.
• Familiarity with oversized load regulations and escort procedures.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
