ESL Teacher

Job Summary:

The ESL Teacher is responsible for developing students’ English language proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing at the middle school level. The role focuses on creating an engaging environment that supports language acquisition and academic success for non-native English speakers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver ESL lessons aligned with the middle school curriculum.
• Teach English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational skills.
• Use interactive and student-centered teaching methods to promote language fluency.
• Assess students’ language proficiency and track progress through regular evaluations.
• Provide differentiated instruction to cater to varied learning abilities.
• Create and maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages participation.
• Develop activities that integrate cultural understanding with language learning.
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student performance and needs.
• Incorporate technology and multimedia tools to enhance language learning.
• Stay updated with best practices and resources for ESL teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• TESOL/TEFL certification or equivalent (mandatory for ESL role).
• Previous experience teaching ESL at middle school level preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Patience and cultural sensitivity in dealing with diverse learners.
