Job Role: Estate Administration Paralegal

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid Onsite)

Salary: $70, 000 - $80, 000 per year + benefits


Position Description

Dynamic and fast-growing full-service Estate and Wealth Management law firm is seeking an EXPERIENCED Estate Administration Paralegal to help our clients navigate the probate and trust administration process with compassion and professionalism. Must be familiar with NC probate laws, estate administration processes and a working knowledge of the probate court system


Qualifications and Skills


Minimum of 4-5+ years of experience with a specific focus on estate and trust administration, probate and/ or estate planning in a law firm setting.


Responsibilities

  • Drafting petitions, inventories, accountings, and deeds for filing with the Clerk of Superior Court.
  • Tracking deadlines, organizing case files, and maintaining client communication to move estate matters forward.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders. Provide compassionate and professional support throughout the estate administration process.
  • Regularly review case statuses and plans with attorneys. Provide updates and discuss strategies to address any issues or delays.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss client matters and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
  • Meticulously produce and track filings for each estate and trust administration matter. Maintain organized records and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Core Competencies:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities (including with busy supervising attorneys) and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters/ estates concurrently and work independently.


This role is integral to the smooth operation of our legal practice focused on estate matters. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and a thorough understanding of legal procedures relevant to estate administration.
