Our growing estate planning law firm is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join our team. About the Role

The Estate Planning Paralegal will support our attorneys through the full lifecycle of estate planning matters, including intake, drafting, file management, and client communication. You will play a key role in ensuring clients receive exceptional service and a smooth, streamlined experience.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on estate planning paralegal experience
  • Strong understanding of estate planning documents, including:

Wills

Revocable living trusts

Powers of attorney

Advance directives

Deeds

  • Experience preparing client questionnaires, organizing files, and supporting attorneys throughout drafting and signing processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills for direct client interaction
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced law firm
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, editing and proofreading wills, trust, powers of attorney, advance directives and deeds, with accuracy and precision.
  • Reviewing with clients wills, trust, powers of attorney, advance directives and executions of the same documents.
  • Effective communication skills including professional phone etiquette are important for interacting with clients and team members.
  • Interviewing and gathering information from clients to prepare estate planning documents.
  • Organize and maintain case files through legal case management systems like Clio and Asana.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Probate experience (petitions, notices, filings, estate administration steps)
  • Experience with law firm case management software
  • Experience working in a high-volume legal practice

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with all stages of estate planning matters
  • Prepare, organize, edit and finalize estate planning documents
  • Manage client communication, scheduling, and follow-up
  • Interview and gather information from clients to draft and execute estate planning documents
  • Maintain accurate client files and document checklists in legal case management systems
  • Support signing appointments and ensure documents are properly executed
  • Coordinate updates, amendments, and document delivery to clients
  • Draft deeds and corporate assignments to fund trusts
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff
  • Help with presentations and workshops
  • Support administrative functions including phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, filing documents, and providing executive administrative support when needed.
  • Preparing binders to deliver to the clients their executed estate planning documents
  • Record deeds

Pay: $50,918.68 - $61,321.42 per year
